Warringah Council Community Grant

Yr 1$1390, Yr 2 $810, Yr 3 $810

We applied for the Community Development Grant which is a 3 year program. Warringah Councils aim for this grant is to build a community that works in partnership with government, community based, and private organisations to achieve real and lasting improvements within the community. It is to provide care and support for culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

Water Skills for Life identified the need for water safety skills in collaboration with the Tibetan Community in Warringah. aims to deliver an effective ongoing swim program, by providing life saving skills with a focus on enjoyable recreational activities for all Tibetans.

We used this funding to implement an ongoing Tibetan Learn - to - swim program at Warringah Aquatic Centre. We also supply equipment including swim caps, goggles, boards, noodles, protective tops, swimming costumes, and transport to and from the Warringah Aquatic Centre.
